On behalf of China University of Petroleum (East China), the State Key Laboratory of Heavy oil Processing and the SCORF 2014 Organizing Committee, it is our privilege to invite you to the SCORF 2014, October 5-7, 2014, in Qingdao, Shandong, China! We are honored to host this event, as the continuation of first session of this forum in Riyadh, Saudi, 2013, and looking forward to welcoming our friends and colleagues from all around the world. The theme of SCORF 2014 focus on the latest developments in refinery technologies, including innovative catalysts and sulfur management in refinery processes, FCC process, upgrading of crude oil and heavy residues, integrations of refining and petrochemical processes and hydroprocessing of crude oil fractions. Our meeting activities should reflect these elements. The Program Committee has set broad objectives for this workshop, to allow attendances to explore each of the thematic elements, building upon concrete success from SCORF 2013 in Riyadh, and laying out plans to be carried out before SCORF 2015 in Riyadh. In the past year since the SCORF 2013 hosted in Riyadh, SCORF has continued to expand to more institutions. It has created a new working group on Oil Refinery and Petrochemical and has built strong collaborations with key applications. The SCORF 2014 program features keynote speeches will be arranged on October 5-6, and a workshop will follows on related technologies. While attending SCORF 2014 in Qingdao we hope that you feel completely at home, as we try our best to match the hospitality offered by earlier hosts of SCORF workshops. We have planned several social and cultural events for you to enjoy and learn more about China as well as Qingdao, well known for her own cultural diversity. We hope that you will take the opportunity to socialize and network with new acquaintances, and build upon those relationships which have already been established to sustain our collaboration. Registration is open on June 18, 2014, and hotel reservation may be made directly with the hotel by phone or email.
