The first social robotics and human-robot interactive systems international conference to be held inIndiansubcontinent. The 28th IEEE International Conference on Robot and Human Interactive Communication – RO-MAN 2019, will be held in New Delhi, India, from October 14-18, 2019. This conference is a leading forum where state-of-the-art innovative results, the latest developments as well as future perspectives relating torobotand human interactive communication are presented and discussed.
The conference covers a wide range of topics related to Robot and Human Interactive Communication, involving theories, methodologies, technologies, empirical and experimental studies.

The goal of special sessions is to provide a forum for oral presentations that are highly specialized in some particular theme, focused on new topics or innovative applications of established approaches.
A special session consists of six or twelve papers, which, for example, addresses a particular theme or consist of work done in some particular international project.
Authors are requested to use the standard template for regular papers for preparing their manuscripts. The total length should not exceed 6+2 pages including references. The additional two pages will be allowed at an extra charge.

- Robotics for Rehabilitation
- Social and Affective Robots
- Social Human-Robot Interaction of Service Robots
- Transparency and Trust in Human-Robot Interaction.
