International Conference on Geomechanics (ICG 2017) will be held from February 26 to 28, 2017 in Sanya, China. This Conference will cover issues on Geomechanics. It dedicates to creating a stage for exchanging the latest research results and sharing the advanced research methods in the fields of Geomechanics.
ICG 2017 is devoted to the advancement of Geomechanics. Geomechanics involves the geologic study of the behavior of soil and rock. The two main disciplines of geomechanics are soil mechanics and rock mechanics. The former deals with the behavior of soil from a small scale to a landslide scale. The latter deals with issues in geosciences related to rock mass characterization and rock mass mechanics, such as applied to petroleum industry or high depths, tunnel design, rock breakage, and rock drilling. The scope of ICG 2017 covers both technological/practical areas and theoretical investigations of Geomechanics, and the detailed areas of interest for this Conference are listed in the section of "Call for Papers".
ICG 2017 will be an important and reliable platform for inspiring international and interdisciplinary exchange at the forefront of Geomechanics. The Conference will bring together academicians, engineers, educators and policy-makers from all over the world, and we hope that you will take this opportunity to join us for academic exchange and visit the city of Sanya.
