2020年第67届日本心律学会年会(JHRS2020)

The 67th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Heart Rhythm Society (JHRS) will be held at the Fukuoka International Convention Center and the FUKUOKA SUNPALACE Hotel for four days from July 1 (Wed) to July 4 (Sat), 2020. The fifth anniversary of the merger between the Japanese Heart Rhythm Society and the Japanese Society of Electrocardiology falls in 2020, a significant year in which the Olympics will be held in Tokyo for the first time in 56 years.

This annual meeting will be co-chaired by three congress presidents: Haruhiko Abe at University of Occupational and Environmental Health, Japan, Koichiro Kumagai at International University of Health and Welfare Graduate School, and Naomasa Makita at National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center Research Institute. This is the first time to have three presidents for the meeting, and our hope is that a highly fruitful and meaningful meeting will grow out of the cooperative effort by three persons who specialize in basic medicine, catheter ablation, and device therapy respectively.

At this annual meeting, a special program "summit" will be introduced for the first time. The summit will be an extended program that offers concentrated learning at a single venue, from educational content to the latest knowledge. Each of the three presidents will prepare a thoughtful and earnest presentation on their area of specialization (“cutting-edge basic research,” “atrial fibrillation,” and “syncope”) to present with confidence to members of the Society. Prominent speakers will be invited from overseas to give special lectures and present at symposia. We are also planning multifaceted programs including public lectures (oral and poster), debate sessions, various kinds of training sessions for medical professionals, joint symposia of academic societies, and educational presentations.

We will do our best to ensure that this annual meeting of JHRS2020 is a very fulfilling experience for participants. Fukuoka in July is at the height of summer, and because Hakata Gion Yamakasa Festival will take place during the period of the annual meeting, participants will have even greater opportunities than usual to enjoy the lively nightlife of Fukuoka as well. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the 67th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Heart Rhythm Society in Fukuoka.
