Elias Brountzos

Dr. Elias Brountzos is associate professor of radiology in the second department of radiology at Athens University, and is also head of interventional radiology at Attikon University Hospital in Athens. His areas of special interest include cellular mechanisms of restenosis after PTA and stenting in the peripheral arteries, biosynthetic prosthetic venous valve for venous insufficiency, liver resection and portal vein embolization for residual liver volume augmentation, peripheral stents, and interventional treatment of abdominal and thoracic aneurysms. His additional interests are chemoembolization and radioembolization for the treatment of tumors.
