John Crocker, a nine-year textiles veteran, has been appointed the new director of sales for the Americas for textiles testing company SDL Atlas. Based in Greensboro, Crocker will lead sales and coordinate support for the firm's variety of test products and accessories directed to textiles and apparel makers across North America. "It's exciting to be part of a global leader in the crucial area of textile testing," said Crocker. "The range of SDL Atlas products originating from SDL, Atlas, Textile Innovators, and the QuickProducts from Raitech, all make important contributions to quality improvement. I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead." After starting his career with Milliken & Company at the Gayley Plant in Marietta, S.C., Crocker spent the past four years with Glen Raven working with customers in the technical fabrics market. He also helped develop Glen Raven's physical test lab.
